Matters Into Her Own Hands, Scene #01

Donnie (Quinton James), Sarah's spouse, and Sarah (Ella Reese) are having a passionate quarrel over the phone because Donnie is currently out of town. It is revealed that Sarah traded insider secrets blindly on the advice of a friend, and same day they received a visit from a government inspector to review their financial situation. Donnie is in complete shock at his wife's thoughtless behavior, which has now put them BOTH in hot water. In an attempt to reassure Donnie, Sarah maintains that she can get them out of this situation by seducing the detective. Donnie promises her that he'll take care of it when he gets back to town, but he thinks it's a bad idea. Sarah realizes she can no longer be bossed around and hangs up on Donnie when he tells her not to do anything. A few hours later, John (Robby Echo), the investigator, is in the living room going over files. Sarah observes from a distance and then begins to flirt with him, which John finds endearing. It becomes clear as they start to flirt that John is prepared to make some concessions in order to help Sarah get out of this situation. As Sarah takes matters into her own hands, things between them turn hot and heavy. But at that point, Donnie enters the house after racing home and discovers them in the act. Donnie approaches Sarah, incensed because she disobeyed his commands. Sarah, meanwhile, is upset with Donnie for being so domineering and undervaluing her. John, meanwhile, finds the dispute hilarious and tells them that he likes to take on cases involving couples because of how much they are frequently ready to do. At that point, he starts making fun of Donnie and asking how far HE'll go, which sparks an intense trio.
