On the school prom committee, Aften Opal and her friends had been putting in a lot of effort to make sure their prom would be unforgettable. Aften now has to break the bad news to Christie Stevens, her stepmother, that their prom committee was dissolved because the school disapproved of their attempts to make the prom inclusive. Christie is pleased that Aften made an effort to act morally.
