While using her laptop in the living room, Brooke Banner's stepdaughter Sera Ryder bursts through the door, clearly headed out. She's wearing scant attire. Sera is stopped by Brooke, who maintains that she must speak with her. Despite her impatience, Sera pauses. Since Sera has gone out every night since turning eighteen, Brooke gently informs her that she is concerned about her. Sera acts indifferently. Asserting that Brooke needs not worry, Sera quickly leaves. When left alone, Brooke shakes her head and appears more anxious than before. Brooke searches the internet for parenting tips. After looking into it, she finds evidence that allowing someone to overindulge in a negative habit can really help break it. This sparks an idea for Brooke. The following day, Brooke visits Sera. Immediately after, Brooke starts to act flirtatious and pursue Sera. Upon Sera's questioning about what precipitated this abrupt outburst, particularly after their recent chat, Brooke explains that she felt too critical of Sera and wanted to make amends. Sera easily agrees and doesn't require any persuading. It's obvious that Brooke has a plan, but will it succeed?
